Description The PULSE-AIR replaces constant air flow or mechanical cam-actuated air ejection with a sophisticated solid state air control. PULSE-AIR accurately ejects parts with an air blast at the proper time of the machine cycle, and keeps air off for the remainder of the cycle. The result is less air consumption, less noise, and improved operator conditions.
Principle of Operation The PULSE-AIR receives a signal from a proximity switch, which senses a cam assembly mounted on the crankshaft. This brief signal starts the time cycle. A "delay" can be set to determine the amount of time until air flow begins. The "duration" can then be set to determine the length of the air blast. The "delay" and "duration" adjustments are located on the front panel and are adjustable from .1 to 2 seconds. Longer or shorter time ranges are available upon request. The air flow is turned ON and OFF by a solenoid valve. The solenoid is powered by a solid state relay. The output can be disengaged and the air flow can be made continuous by placing the continuous/intermittent switch in the continuous position. This feature is helpful for clearing die after maintenance.
