End of Stock Detector

The End of Stock Detector, is used to shut off the machine when material run out occurs. The sensor is positioned to monitor the material just before it enters the feed. The arm of the sensor is held up by the material being monitored. When there is no longer material holding up the arm, it will fall and ground out the contact and the the machine a STOP command.

Buckle Detector

P/N: 91-102

The Buckle Detector is used to shut off the machine when the stock buckles. The buckle can occur as the material enters the die, (between the die and the feed) or when the material leaves the machine, (between the die and the scrap chopper). The probes of the buckle detector should be positioned so that under normal running conditions they are not being touched by the strip. One probe should be positioned above the strip and the other below the strip.

Pilot Actuator

P/N: 91-104

The Pilot Actuator is used for detection of a misfeed in a die. The sensor is positioned to monitor a pilot in a die. If the pilot is pushed in, (because of a misfeed) it will ground out or open the pilot actuator.

Shut Height Detector

P/N: 91-100

The Shut Height Detector will detect changes in shut height as minute as .002". Not only is the system self-adjusting, but it also has an adjustable sensitivity figure. The spring loaded contact can be adjusted to only touch the actuator rod (most sensitive), or this contact can be set to be pushed in by the actuator rod, (least sensitive). The amount that the contact is depressed is directly proportional to the amount of change in shut height that would be required to occur before the detector is effective. The tension on the actuator rod is also adjustable. The shut height detector is used as a cyclic probe.

Complete Probe Assembly

P/N: 91-103

The Complete Probe Assembly is used to monitor the progression of stock, scrap pile-up, part transfer, etc... The probe feeler can be adjusted to sense various events as they occur.
